RacePredict (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have when using the RacePredict mobile application and related services.

When you create and use a RacePredict account, we collect only the data necessary to operate the service.
Account data
- Username
- Email address
- Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing; never stored in plain text)
App usage data
- Race predictions and season predictions you submit
- Scores, rankings, and leaderboard positions
- Poule (group) membership and related actions (such as join requests)
Technical data (minimal)
- Basic operational logs (such as timestamps and error information) required to keep the service running securely and reliably
We do not collect precise location data, contact lists, device identifiers for advertising, or behavioral tracking data.

Your data is used solely to:
- Create and manage your RacePredict account

4. Emails and communication
RacePredict sends only essential service emails, including:

We do not send promotional or marketing emails.

We share personal data only when strictly necessary to operate the service.
Email delivery
We use Mailgun as an email delivery provider to send account-related emails. Mailgun processes email addresses and email content solely for the purpose of delivering these messages.
We do not share personal data with advertisers or analytics platforms.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only while your account is active and required to provide the service.
When an account is deleted:
- The user account is removed
- Predictions, scores, poule memberships, and related data are deleted
- Email tokens and account actions are removed
No personal data is retained after account deletion unless required by law.

You may request deletion of your RacePredict account and associated personal data at any time.

For security reasons, account deletion requests require confirmation via email to prevent unauthorized deletion.
